If you want another reason to run check out the blog below. This mother was my visiting teacher before we moved to Ohio. She lost her little girl in a horrible drowning accident. She is asking people to run on Thanksgiving Day for her little Kamber. I wish I could be there!

Couch to 5k
I know those of you in colder climates can't really do this, but for those of us in the valley of the devil, the weather has finally reached "outside exercise" status so we will be starting this November 1. (Still need another week or so for my broken foot to be jogging ready)
You can visit this link to check out the schedule.

Chili Con Carne
This is the YUMMIEST chili I have ever tasted, I LOVE it!
Brown the following on olive oil:
2 lbs chuck steak cubed
4 garlic cloves
2 medium yellow onions (this seemed like a lot so I didn't quite use that much)
Then add:
4 cups beef broth
1 can beer (we made it without and it rocked, so your call)
4 tablespoons of red chili powder
1 teaspoon oregano
1 teaspoon cumin
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon pepper
The recipe did not call for it, but I added a can of crushed tomatoes to it.
Bring to a boil and then simmer for a minimum of 2 hours.
Add kidney beans to taste.
